Three September indie games worth putting on your radar

A frozen horror train, a world restored from ash, and a bullet-hell resistance take three very different routes to our watchlist.

September's release calendar has room for more than one kind of experiment. These three upcoming games cover survival horror, cooperative restoration, and high-speed space combat.

Fright Train — September 15

WildArts Games puts paranormal agent Doug Barker, a dog, aboard a monster-filled train crossing Antarctica. The survival-horror roguelite combines scarce resources, timed reloads, inventory pressure, and train maintenance.

BloomKeeper — September 16

Resonance Interactive asks players to guide magical Pouics as they restore an island consumed by ash. It supports solo and co-op play, while saved regions must be defended from falling back into embers.

Wind Runners — September 23

Ludic Studios is building a bullet-hell dogfighting roguelite around dashing, rolling, weapon upgrades, large bosses, and a resistance that grows between flights. Windows and macOS are listed.

Radar verdict: Fright Train has the strongest elevator pitch, BloomKeeper the most inviting co-op premise, and Wind Runners the most mechanical intensity.
